Property Litigation Paralegal Specialist

Job Overview:
Oculus Legal Group is seeking a highly skilled Paralegal to join its Housing Management and Property Litigation Team. As a key member of the team, you will support Solicitors and handle your own caseload, working on a variety of cases related to housing management and property litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Solicitors in managing files and caseloads.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including claim forms, pleadings, and witness statements.
- Manage multiple case deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Prepare trial bundles and liaise with the Court to ensure smooth proceedings.
- Conduct routine advocacy in County Court, representing the firm and its clients.
- Organize and maintain accurate and up-to-date files, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Occasionally undertake site visits to gather information and assess situations.
Requirements:
- Law degree (minimum 2:2) or equivalent qualification.
- Strong legal research and drafting skills, with the ability to analyze complex information and present findings effectively.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
- Customer service oriented, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results and exceeding client expectations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- LPC (Legal Practice Course) or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working with Registered Providers or private landlords, with a strong understanding of their needs and requirements.
- Familiarity with County Court procedures and DMS (Document Management System), with the ability to navigate complex systems and processes.
