Year 6 Teacher Responsibilities

As a Year 6 teacher, you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.

Teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children, focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses.

Keeping track of children's progress and occasionally reporting back to parents.

Year 6 Teacher Requirements

A qualified teacher status (QTS) PGCE or equivalent.

Experience in teaching Year 6 students and preparing them for SATs exams.

A proven track record of delivering high-quality lessons and achieving excellent academic results.

A strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment methodologies.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Patience, resilience, and a passion for teaching.

A willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues.
