We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Operations Specialist to join our Global Banking team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing operational support for various GS business teams, including origination, syndication, and secondary market trading of performing and non-performing loans.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor trading systems for new trades and confirm trades with outside clients
- Review credit agreements and loan documentation to understand requirements for deal-specific transfers
- Draft, review, and negotiate transfer documents, including trade confirms and transfer certificates
- Liaise with Legal, Compliance, Credit, Trading Desks, Agency, and Servicing teams to ensure necessary approvals are obtained, pricing/cashflows are agreed, reconciled, and settled within our system
- Coordinate settlements with clients and agents, ensuring all sign-offs and approvals for transfer are obtained
- Coordinate loan-to-loan and loan-to-private security restructures, working with Trading Desk, Controllers, Clients, and Agents, and Legal to confirm necessary documentation position updates
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-moving environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to keep track of a large workload
- Strong control mindset, to enhance existing infrastructure to support increases in business
- Team-oriented approach, ability to work across functions outside of Operations
- Strong organizational skills and flexibility, with ability to cope with rapidly changing priorities throughout the day
- Excellent interpersonal skills and self-confidence, including ability to deal with demanding business requirements, protecting interests and reputation of GS while maintaining a commercial outlook
- Professional approach and ability to communicate well directly with external parties
- Knowledge of Bank Loans/Loan Closing experience
- Experience navigating Loan Credit Agreements
