Job Summary
As a Senior Integration Engineer at Arqiva, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of end-to-end customer solutions. You will engage with key stakeholders to define customer requirements and ensure solutions are designed and planned to meet or exceed expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the design and build activity, collaborating with internal and external contributors to ensure the solution meets customer requirements.
- Analyse engineering problems related to equipment and systems or the causes of component failures and develop solutions to provide full resolution.
- Provide detailed, documented technical solutions and reports for distribution both internally and externally.
- Identify risks within the design and build through the design review process and take action to ensure appropriate mitigation/management.
- Develop and apply engineering standards and procedures and provide technical guidance to external and internal stakeholders.
- Translate customer concept designs into detailed design, build and test specifications that meet customers' requirements, within the constraints of the total costs of ownership and operability.
- Drive innovation, both small and large, into and through the business; deploy and evidence with outcomes, a continuous improvement (CI) mind-set.
- Bring a commercial perspective to the operation, with a particular focus on cash management, cash preservation and optimising returns on investments made in assets and tools.
- Lead and set priorities for teams of engineering specialists delivering design, transition, build and test engineering services.
Requirements
- Track record of setting the standards for the design, development testing of bespoke and COTS (Common off the Shelf) software/hardware for Broadcast, IP Network, IOT or corporate application based on expertise.
- Experience in setting the standards for processes and engineering practices related to area of expertise for platforms that support services.
- Extensive experience working with suppliers – both developing new services/capabilities and driving 3rd parties to resolve and fix functionality issues and errors.
- Strong technical understanding of the utilities technical eco chain covering RAN, Comms Hub, BSS, OSS, RNI and integration in third party systems.
