About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Energy Market Modeller to join our successful Energy & Utilities practice at PA Consulting. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of UK and/or European power and energy markets and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply economic principles and the latest analytical methods to develop practical solutions for regulation and policy, business strategy, econometric forecasting, competition policy, and more.
  • Work with clients across Government and industry to provide clear answers about potential impact, benefits, and return on investment.
  • Contribute to the growth of our Economics & Investment Strategy capability and support our existing client base.

Requirements

  • Good understanding of UK and/or European power and energy markets and systems.
  • Strong experience in using PLEXOS and other statistical data analysis and data mining tools such as R, Python, Excel, etc.
  • A passion and ability for the practical application of energy economics.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A passion for team working.
  • Excellent written English.
