Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled surgical assistant to join our theatre team. As a Theatre Scrub Nurse, you will be responsible for providing clinical and technical assistance during surgical procedures, ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the operating room.

Main Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for preparing and maintaining sterile equipment and supplies.
  • To assist surgeons and other medical professionals during operations.
  • To ensure patient safety throughout surgical interventions.
  • To participate in the assessment of patient care needs and implement agreed standards of care.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential qualifications include a degree or diploma in nursing and current registration with the NMC. At least 6 months' experience as a Registered Nurse in theatres within the last 3 years is also required.
