Lead Software Development - RCN02484

Location: Digital RCN Cardiff Gate Office with flexible working

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract

Hours: 35 hours per week, 6-month fixed-term contract (to cover parental leave)

As the Head of Software Development, you'll leverage your leadership skills and experience in delivering software development projects to guide a dedicated team in building web projects that support the RCN's operational and strategic objectives. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with Software Engineers, Product Managers, QA Testers, and stakeholders from across the organisation to provide our members exceptional digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead SCRUM project teams
  • Line manage Software Engineers
  • Facilitate the delivery of projects
  • Manage the Engineering backlog

Requirements:

  • Excellent team management and communication skills
  • Robust background in software development lifecycle, SCRUM agile methodology, and project management
  • Previous experience as a Software Engineer is beneficial but not required
