Role Purpose and Overview

The Telegraph Media Group is seeking an experienced and skilled Associate Money Editor to join its highly successful personal finance team. As a key member of the Money desk, you will be responsible for driving our daily coverage and working closely with reporters to ensure their stories are of the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement innovative personal finance journalism strategies
  • Collaborate with reporters to stimulate ideas and develop stories to optimum effect
  • Lead campaigns and investigations that resonate with our audience and set the news and political agenda
  • Edit content for multiple channels, including digital, print, and newsletters
  • Manage the flow of content to meet deadlines and ensure a high level of quality
  • Identify potential stories and digital projects from raw data, case studies, or news
  • Write engaging content in various formats, including news, features, analysis, advice, explainers, and opinion pieces
  • Use audience analytics to inform and improve idea generation and presentation
Essential and Desirable Skills
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a strong understanding of personal finance and consumer topics
  • Knowledge of digital publishing and analytics
  • Strong news sense and ability to identify opportunities for engaging content
  • Highly organized, energetic, and enthusiastic with a passion for personal finance journalism
