Job Title: Consultant Psychiatrist for CAMHS (Learning Disability)
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist for CAMHS (Learning Disability) to join our team at Barnet Enfield and Haringey MH NHS Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health care to children and adolescents with learning disabilities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide treatment for families, children and adolescents with learning disabilities, tailored to individual needs in a multi-disciplinary setting.
- Assess families, children and adolescents who present with a mental health issue and have a learning disability aged 5 to 18 years old.
- Consult and collaborate with other agencies in the assessment and treatment of complex cases.
- Meet and consult with other members of the team and members of the Children's Health Services, which includes Community Paediatricians.
- Plan and co-ordinate mental health services for children, adolescents and families where appropriate.
- Prepare professional assessments and report on those children or young people known to you.
- Participate in medical audit and evaluation.
Requirements:
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Fully registered with the GMC with a license to practice at the time of appointment.
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within 6 months.
- Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
- Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
- Holds and will use valid UK driving license OR provides evidence of proposed alternative.
