About the role:

  • To provide holistic support to children and young people affected by parental substance misuse, utilizing a range of interventions including group work, one-to-one support, and whole family approaches.
  • To identify families in need of support and negotiate participation in our program of care.
  • To respond effectively to potential safeguarding issues and reduce harm to young people and the wider community.
  • To work with young people to achieve positive outcomes in relation to their health and wellbeing, enabling them to lead safe, healthy, and purposeful lives.
  • To work flexibly across sites as required.
About You:
  • Experience of working with young people and knowledge of the issues they face.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding concerns and the Fraser Competence framework.
  • Understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working in a related field.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice around young people's substance misuse treatment services.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and work to deadlines.
  • Excellent team working and interpersonal skills.
