About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Digital & Information Officer to join our team at Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our digital transformation efforts and ensuring that our technology systems support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of our digital strategy, aligning with our trust's goals and objectives.
- Oversee the management of our IT infrastructure, ensuring that it is secure, reliable, and meets the needs of our staff and patients.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that our technology systems support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure that our digital functions are maintained in the event of a disaster.
- Ensure that our data is protected and secure, in line with data protection legislation such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Provide expert guidance to our Board and leadership teams on healthcare informatics and technology.
Requirements
- Experience of working within an NHS healthcare provider environment in a senior capacity.
- Experience of strategic planning and digital strategy development.
- Senior level IT/informatics experience.
- Experience of managing complex IT projects and programmes.
- Ability to travel to various trust sites.
- Ability to demonstrate and work within trust values.
