About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Engineer to join our Research, Technology and Innovation business. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in investigating and developing new technologies and concepts across a wide range of Thales's application areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct fundamental feasibility studies, state-of-the-art surveys, and modelling/simulation to identify innovative solutions.
  • Develop proof of concept demonstrators using appropriate software and hardware implementations.
  • Work within a research team to invent and explore new concepts and technologies, and demonstrate their applicability to Thales businesses.
Requirements
  • 5-8 years of experience in a research or advanced development environment role.
  • Good awareness of Thales businesses, structure, governance, and processes.
  • Proficient in the use of standard PC-based office tools, including Microsoft tools.
  • Typically hold an honours degree (minimum 2.1), a master's degree, or a PhD in a relevant discipline.
