Job Title: Children's Home Registered Manager

At Talent Fox Recruitment, we are seeking an experienced and dedicated Children's Home Registered Manager to join our team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to young people in our care, while ensuring that our values are upheld at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Developing and Implementing Care Plans: Ensure that each young person has a personalized care plan that reflects their unique needs and goals.
  2. Allocating Key Workers: Assign a dedicated Key Worker to each young person, responsible for implementing their care plan and providing ongoing support.
  3. Maintaining High-Quality Standards: Establish and monitor high-quality standards of care, ensuring compliance with National Minimum Standards and our Home's Statement of Purpose.
  4. Consulting with Young People: Develop innovative systems to consult with young people about the quality of care they receive, ensuring their voices are heard and valued.
  5. Managing Complaints and Concerns: Take responsibility for progressing any complaints or child protection concerns, working closely with parents, carers, and other professionals.
  6. Partnership Working: Collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of young people.
  7. Child Care Planning and Review Meetings: Attend and contribute to child care planning and review meetings as appropriate.
  8. Rota Management: Create rotas that meet the needs of young people, ensuring proper handovers between shifts.
  9. Staff Development and Training: Ensure that all staff receive proper induction, supervision, and training, maintaining an up-to-date training profile.
  10. Statutory and Procedural Framework: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the statutory and procedural framework for residential care, communicating this to staff as appropriate.
  11. Team Building and Social Activities: Encourage, stimulate, and participate in social activities that benefit the team and young people in our care.
  12. Induction and Supervision: Ensure that all new staff receive a proper induction and that each member receives supervision in line with National Minimum Standards.
  13. Personal and Professional Development: Promote personal and professional development through the appropriate delegation of duties and responsibilities.
  14. Routine Development: Develop routines in consultation with young people and staff, ensuring that all aspects of child care are covered.
  15. Home Maintenance: Clarify expectations in relation to maintaining the Home in a clean and orderly condition, creating a welcoming homely environment.
  16. Financial Management: Manage budgets effectively, monitoring the use of finances and overseeing the use of company vehicles.
  17. Fabric Maintenance: Monitor the fabric of the building, taking remedial action where necessary to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for young people and staff.
