Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Care Companion. In this role, you will assist our client in every aspect of day-to-day living, ensuring their independence and quality of life. Our client is an active 37-year-old female who suffers from Spinal Muscular Atrophy (Type 2) and requires support with personal care, moving and handling, and completing household tasks.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in someone's life. As a Care Companion, you will be responsible for assisting our client with all aspects of personal care, including bathing, dressing, and medication management. You will also help with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and grocery shopping. Additionally, you will drive our client's adapted car and participate in her active lifestyle, which includes playing Powerchair Football at least once a week and going on holidays.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a confident driver with a valid Full Manual Driving Licence. You will also require strong communication skills, patience, and empathy. While no care experience is necessary, you must have a caring and compassionate nature.
