About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Older Adults Community Mental Health Team - Central. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide senior medical support and guidance to our team, working directly with older adults and their families, and liaising with other external older adult mental health providers and acute hospitals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team
  2. Work directly with older adults and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external older adult mental health providers and acute hospitals
  3. Participate in the on-call rota with a 3% of basic salary, Category A on-call supplement
  4. Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member whilst allowing them to work with their own initiative
  5. Commit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies
Person Specification
  1. GMC: Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  2. CCT: CCT or equivalent
  3. Section 12: Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
  4. Knowledge: Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it
  5. Specialist Register: Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST
