Community Development Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and responsible individual to join our Community Centres Team as a Community Development Coordinator. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, overseeing the day-to-day running of our community centres.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Front of House Operations: Provide high-quality customer service, dealing with enquiries in person, over the phone, and via email. Meet and greet customers and visitors, arrange and conduct viewings of the facilities available.
- Supervision and Training: Supervise support officers and casual staff, providing training in operating procedures and allocating tasks as needed.
- Maintenance and Security: Complete regular visual inspections, report maintenance or cleaning issues, and assist the centre manager in resolving them.
- Contractor Management: Oversee contractors working on site, including site inductions, progress reports, and issue resolution.
- Hirer Support: Liaise with hirers to ensure they have everything they need to run a high-quality activity.
- Equipment Setup and Maintenance: Set up and clear away furniture and equipment, ensuring safety and functionality.
- Catering and Facilities: Oversee use of catering facilities and equipment, ensuring safe and proper use.
- Marketing and Promotion: Assist in marketing and promoting the centres and activities, ensuring website pages are accurate and up-to-date.
- Policies and Procedures: Ensure adherence to Council policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Data Protection, and Safeguarding.
• 5 GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience- Emergency First Aid at Work
- Experience of fire warden duties.
- Understanding of food hygiene standards.
- Experience of working in a local government setting.
