Job Title: Head of Mathematics and Engineering Department

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our Mathematics and Engineering Department. As Head of Department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing curriculum strategies to improve student retention and achievement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead curriculum development and innovation in Mathematics and Engineering
  • Manage and develop the curriculum team to improve learner outcomes
  • Implement the Teaching, Learning & Assessment Framework to promote high expectations for staff and students
  • Ensure effective use of individualized learning schemes and resources
  • Identify and support underperforming students
  • Continuously improve the quality of teaching and assessment
Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Mathematics or Engineering
  • Recognized teaching qualification
  • Successful experience in running courses and motivating learners
  • Ability to lead and motivate others
  • Understanding of the learning environment and experience in setting targets and monitoring progress
