About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Head Sommelier to enhance our wine service at Lympstone Manor, a luxury country retreat in Devon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional wine experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of wine, including wine regions, grape varieties, and wine production methods.
  • Collaborate with our culinary team to create wine pairing menus that showcase our wine list.
  • Provide expert wine recommendations to guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of wine service standards and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Head Sommelier to maintain a high level of wine knowledge and service standards.
Requirements
  • WSET level 3 qualification or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Passion for wine and a desire to continuously develop your knowledge and skills.
