Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Fitter to join our team based at West Deeping, Lincolnshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing concrete plants and wash plants around Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire, and North Nottinghamshire, as well as associated plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate and coordinate the repair and maintenance of all fixed plant and machinery, including concrete plant, quarry processing plants, conveyor systems, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Provide supervision of others and third-party personnel assisting in the works being carried out.
  • Assist the area management team in programming scheduled maintenance and repair aligned to production requirements and manage site defect logs.
  • Eliminate preventable plant breakdowns and ensure cost-effective and timely ordering and supply of spares and critical equipment.
  • Undertake risk assessment and associated paperwork for relevant activities to ensure a suitable and effective safe system of work.
  • Liaise daily with management and plant operations teams to ascertain repair and maintenance requirements.
  • Provide flexibility to undertake emergency repairs where and when necessary.
Requirements
  • Completed a recognized mechanical engineering apprenticeship.
  • Essential experience working on heavy plant, fixed, and/or mobile equipment.
  • Previous experience as a mechanical fitter in a similar role.
  • Flexible, proactive, and hands-on approach to work with effective communication, problem-solving, and IT skills.
  • Ability to work confidently and courteously within the team and on own initiative.
