Tax Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our team in Newport. As a key member of our tax department, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of tax clients, overseeing the provision of tax advice across the team, and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a significant portfolio of tax clients, monitoring the commercial aspects of portfolio management
- Oversee the provision of tax advice across the team, ensuring compliance and quality service at every step
- Mentor junior staff by reviewing work and providing constructive feedback
- Monitor team performance, identifying knowledge gaps and providing training as needed
- Work directly with Directors and Partners to ensure deadlines and fee recovery targets are met
- Build trusted client relationships, proactively handling queries and problem-solving
- Stay up-to-date with tax knowledge, championing knowledge sharing across the team
