Assembly Operative

CBSbutler Holdings Limited trading as CBSbutler is seeking an experienced Assembly Operative to join their team in Middlesex. As an Assembly Operative, you will be responsible for assembling and inspecting components and sub-assemblies in accordance with quality standards and production schedules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately interpret engineering drawings and work instructions to identify Part Numbers, Drawing Issues, and relevant ADR's.
  • Conduct bench fitting and build of detailed assemblies, including installation of threaded inserts and locking pins, jig drilling, and mechanical orbital riveting.
  • Employ appropriate techniques as specified on job cards to ensure work is undertaken according to requirements.
  • Undertake self-inspection and quality check work in accordance with laid down quality standards and procedures.
  • Assist in the implementation of Lean Initiatives and monitor tools and equipment for replacement and/or recalibration.
  • Handle materials, goods, and components carefully and comply with safety regulations and handling/machining instructions.
Requirements:
  • Basic computing skills and familiarity with engineering hand tools.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing/engineering background and ability to read from/interpret engineering diagrams.
  • Knowledgeable of H&S policies and procedures.
