About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Power Distribution Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our high and low voltage power distribution network, supporting the critical manufacturing processes that drive our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of Electrical Power Distribution Network:
    • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on high and low voltage equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and control systems.
    • Conduct switching operations and protection testing to ensure the integrity and reliability of the electrical network.
    • Adhere to strict safety protocols and industry best practices during all maintenance activities.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Demonstrate a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, including power distribution systems, protection schemes, and control technologies.
    • Proactively identify potential issues and implement corrective actions to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
    • Stay abreast of industry advancements and emerging technologies in the field of electrical power distribution.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Effectively communicate technical information to colleagues, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into overall plant operations.
    • Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of success in maintaining and troubleshooting high and low voltage electrical systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Relevant technical certifications or qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering).
