About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Act and Finance Administrator to join our team at St Neots Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and coordinate Mental Health Review Tribunals, Section Renewals, and Hospital Manager Appeal meetings for service users.
  • Supervise the financial administration of the unit's Client Fund Account, petty cash float, and safety deposit facility.
  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing of patients' enhanced support.
  • Liaise with patients, their families, and carers to identify financial needs and entitlements.
  • Assist the social worker with the accurate and timely completion, processing, and monitoring of DoLS paperwork.
  • Ensure patients, their relatives, legal representatives, and official agencies receive necessary information and documentation.
  • Organize and service all associated meetings, ensuring effective and timely production, collation, and distribution of reports, minutes, and other relevant documentation.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of Mental Health Act 1983, including Mental Health Law, Mental Capacity Act, and any subsequent legislation.
  • Experience within a similar environment.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
