Job Title: Advanced Clinical Research Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Research Practitioner to join our haematology and transplant team at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our haematology and transplant services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical assessment and support to patients requiring haematology input and transplant.
  • Work collaboratively with medical, AHP, and nursing teams to maintain good communication and collaboration between multidisciplinary teams.
  • Request investigations, procedures, and make appropriate referrals while maintaining relevant clinical records.
  • Prescribe within the capacity of non-medical prescribing, adhering to Trust policy and existing frameworks.
  • Accept referrals from other healthcare professionals and refer patients directly to other specialties within the appropriate primary, secondary, and tertiary care settings.
Requirements:
  • Highly motivated and driven to improve patient care and experience.
  • Significant nursing or Allied Health Professional experience within the medical and oncology setting.
  • Ability to work autonomously in the planning, assessment, and delivery of care for complex patients.
  • High level of experience in acute care or oncology at band 6 or above.
  • Sound clinical knowledge and managerial and leadership abilities.
