About the Role

The Chief Risk Officer will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of a robust risk management framework that aligns with the company's overall strategy and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework that identifies, assesses, and mitigates risks to the company's operations, reputation, and financial performance.
  • Provide strategic risk advice to the Board of Directors and senior management on risk-related matters.
  • Lead the development and implementation of risk management policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Oversee the risk assessment and monitoring process to ensure that risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that risk management is integrated into all aspects of the business.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulators, auditors, and industry peers.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong background in risk management, governance, and compliance.
  • Proven experience in leading risk management teams and developing risk management frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management, Board members, and external stakeholders.
  • A deep understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will hold:

  • A relevant professional qualification, such as a Certified Risk Manager (CRM) or a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
  • A degree in a relevant field, such as business, finance, or accounting.
