Job Overview:

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you'll play a crucial role in supporting individuals with mental health challenges on their journey towards recovery and independence.

About the Role:
This is a rewarding opportunity to work with clients in Beckton, providing direct support and assistance with daily living activities, emotional support, and advocacy. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring each client receives tailored support to meet their unique needs.

Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional support, encouragement, and advocacy for clients
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Foster a therapeutic and supportive environment conducive to clients' well-being and safety
- Collaborate with mental health professionals, social workers, and case managers to develop care plans
- Monitor client progress, document observations, and report concerns as needed

Requirements:
- Previous experience working in mental health (over 1 year)
- Current advanced CPI or PMVA Certificate
- Compassionate and non-judgmental approach to supporting individuals with mental health challenges
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing client needs
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays
