Job Title: Consultant Psychiatrist in Urgent Care

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist in Urgent Care, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with mental health conditions, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver effective treatment plans.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with mental health conditions.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Conduct regular ward rounds and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
  • Supervise and support junior doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care is delivered.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Fully registered with GMC with a license to practice.
  • Approved clinician status.
  • Excellent knowledge of general adult psychiatry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
