About the Role

This position is designed for individuals with military experience and/or those who are military spouses/children looking to transition into the private sector. At Amazon, we value the skills and expertise that military personnel bring to our organization. We are seeking a motivated and experienced technician to join our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing technologies within our Global Amazon Warehouse & Delivery Network. This will involve carrying out planned preventative maintenance, identifying and resolving issues, and ensuring the highest levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and regulations, prioritizing the well-being of yourself and others.
  2. Perform planned preventative maintenance on a range of equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  3. Respond quickly to breakdowns, communicate effectively with affected teams, and work efficiently to resolve issues.
  4. Contribute to continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.
  5. Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.
  6. Support and learn from Senior Reliability Engineering Technicians.
  7. Manage contractors and ensure that work is carried out to the highest standards.
Requirements
  1. Served a full engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
  2. Multi-skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  3. Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems.
  4. Experience fault finding within MHE (Material Handling Equipment) Automation systems.
  5. Experience in interpreting both mechanical and electrical drawings.
  6. Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Apprentice Trained, HNC, HND, BSc, BEng.
  2. Experience of high voltage switching.
  3. Experience of sortation machines.
  4. Experience of maintaining/configuring barcode scanners.
  5. Experience of print and apply machines.
  6. Experience in fault finding on building equipment i.e., HVAC, Dock Doors, plumbing and general building maintenance tasks.
