The successful candidate will play a crucial role in identifying and assessing talented players from Italy, across First Team and youth levels.

• To lead the identification, assessment, and shortlisting of suitable player targets for Brentford Football Club in Italy.
• Collaborate with the Lead Europe Scout & Lead Technical Scout to evaluate player profiles identified through data and resources in Italy.
• Establish relationships with agents and external networks to gather market intelligence and inform the scouting process.
• Watch videos of potential players and submit reports in line with the Recruitment Department's process.

The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with relevant policies, including health and safety, data regulations, and the Safeguarding Policy. They will promote equity, diversity, and inclusion at the Club, maintaining a flexible approach to work at all times.

This role involves key internal relationships with the Technical Director, Head of Scouting, Chief Scout, Lead Scout, and Lead Technical Scout.

Key Requirements

• Based in Italy.
• Multilingual, with English and Italian language proficiency.
• A high level of current knowledge and experience of Italian football, both at 1st Team and youth levels.
• A strong network of contacts working within Italian football at an elite level.
• Ability to attend live games and identify suitable players for a football club's positional criteria.
• Experience with data and resources to provide assessments on players in alignment with a football club's positional criteria.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to articulate player assessments.
• Organized, structured, and process-driven approach.
• IT literacy, competent in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Desirable Characteristics

• Minimum 3 years' experience/knowledge of working within a professional football club scouting department at an elite level.
• Football-related qualifications or a sports-related bachelor's degree.
• Ability to edit/clipping video footage using platforms like WyScout, iMovie, Windows Video Editor.
