About the Job

We are looking for a highly skilled professional with at least 2 years of experience in casualty broking. The ideal candidate will have excellent insurer relationships, expertise in handling and managing global liability placements, and be confident in presenting to clients, insurers, and wider Lockton teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing an integral role within the Retail team, managing global casualty placements within Retail P&C, negotiating with insurers, and providing excellence in service to our clients, markets, and wider team.

  • Lead Casualty Broker for Major & Mid-market General Liability Risks, managing the strategy & placement, working closely with Insurers to negotiate optimum terms for our clients.
  • Support Casualty Broker for Complex Major risks, developing Casualty expertise on Lockton's key clients.
  • Day-to-day Casualty Expert providing expert technical advice to our major clients.
  • Responsible for supporting on the strategy of Lockton's new Home Foreign Product, liaising closely with Lockton US and the UK Casualty Market, including initial roll out and creation of new product vertical within the team.
  • Support New Business growth, leading responses to tenders as Casualty Broker, pitching to new clients where opportunities allow.
  • Drive Industry Vertical strategy chosen vertical, leading this from the Casualty team.
  • Provide strategy and manage placement for some non-UK domiciled major, working with client locally, and the Global Casualty Market.
  • Manage market relationships at both an operational and strategic level. Lead key insurer engagement sessions for Casualty quarterly with selection of major Lockton partners.
  • Further formal learning through professional qualifications, structured learning courses, attending seminars, team events, writing white-papers etc.
  • Market access across a broad range of geographies, including London/UK, Central Europe, Bermuda, and USA.
  • Overseeing the preparation and issuance of appropriate coverage documentation, including wordings and placement slips.
  • Drive team efficiencies through innovative input on new products and process.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Requirements
  • 2+ Years Casualty Broking Experience.
  • Working towards ACII Qualification.
  • Good insurer relationships with key insurers.
  • Expertise in handling and managing global liability placements.
  • Confident in handling multi-national placement arrangements.
  • Confident in presenting to clients, insurers, and wider Lockton.
  • Experience in producing MRCs & Endorsements to provide expert guidance to casualty team.
  • Proficient in negotiation & having difficult conversations.
