About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Radiotherapy Physicist to join our team at the Berkshire Cancer Centre. As a key member of our Radiotherapy Physics Section, you will play a vital role in providing clinical scientific and technical support to our patients and staff.
Main Responsibilities- Perform quality control and calibration measurements on radiotherapy treatment machines and imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with local and national protocols and codes of practice.
- Participate in the commissioning of radiotherapy equipment, including designing procedures and overseeing the commissioning process.
- Contribute to treatment planning for external beam radiotherapy, producing individual treatment plans and acting as an Operator under the Ionising Radiations (Medical Exposures) Regulations 2017.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to advise on scientific and technical issues, ensuring the safety of patients and staff in a hazardous environment.

Person Specification- 1st or 2nd class Honours degree in a relevant subject
- Relevant MSc or higher degree
- Evidence of working towards HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist, or equivalent
- Current UK registration as a Clinical Scientist
