Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and academically gifted Graduate to join our team as an Academic Mentor. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and wants to make a positive impact on the lives of young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students across Key Stages 3-5 with mixed abilities, working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs on a 1:1 and small group basis.
- Assist Class Teachers in lessons of your chosen subject, which could be anything from Mathematics and Science to English and Humanities.
- Help students to prepare and excel in exams, providing guidance and support to ensure they reach their full potential.
Requirements
- A graduate with strong academic credentials, including a 2:1 or 1st Class degree.
- Previous experience working with children, such as tutoring, teaching assistant, or learning support assistant.
- A passion for your chosen subject and a desire to work in a school environment.
- The ideal candidate would be someone looking to pursue a role as a Secondary Teacher.
