Homelessness Interventionist

We are seeking an experienced and empathetic Adult Outreach Worker to join our team at SPEAR. The successful candidate will work tirelessly to address homelessness within the Roma community, focusing on securing accommodation pathways and providing essential support services.

• To deliver high-quality outreach services for rough sleepers, aligning with our organization's policies and procedures.
• Engage with clients, providing tailored support and guidance to foster long-term positive change.
• Conduct regular outreach shifts to identify and connect with rough sleepers, gathering valuable information to facilitate their transition to more stable living environments.
• To guarantee that assessments and support services are culturally sensitive and pertinent to the Roma community, ensuring they have access to available resources.
• To develop and maintain robust relationships with external teams and agencies, advocating on behalf of Roma individuals regarding welfare rights, immigration issues, and other necessary support.
• To collaborate closely with assigned clients to assess their needs, refer them to suitable support services, and secure suitable accommodations.
• To offer support with financial matters, including benefits claims and debt issues, by collaborating with relevant agencies.
• To provide expert advice, support, crisis intervention, and future planning tailored to the specific requirements of service users.

• 34 days' annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), increasing with service duration

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum based on location and experience.
