Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Shoalter Automation (UK) Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and servicing of machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimum performance.
  • Update and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Reactive Maintenance:
  • Respond promptly to any machinery breakdowns, diagnosing faults and conducting repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Communicate effectively with the operations team to coordinate maintenance activities.
Improvement Initiatives:
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments in project work aimed at optimizing operational processes.
Compliance and Safety:
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to industry best practices and standards in maintenance operations.
Technical Support:
  • Provide technical support and training to other team members as needed.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • A degree in an engineering field or a recognized engineering qualification (HND/HNC/BTEC or equivalent) in a relevant field.
OR
  • Apprentice trained in a similar position ideally with Electrical qualifications (C&G 2320 P1 & P2, ONC, NVQ 3 or equivalent)
AND
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of CAD software is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems and other control systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Awareness of Health and Safety Regulations
Working Hours:
  • This role requires flexibility to cover a shift pattern spanning 24 hours:
    • Morning: 6am – 2pm
    • Afternoon: 2pm – 10pm
    • Night: 10pm – 6am
  • Availability at weekends, and public holidays.
