Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Sports Turf Technician to join our team at Wembley. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and preparing the pitch to relevant universal playing standards for all codes of sport hosted by Wembley.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining the pitch surface to agreed standards
  • Maintaining all pitch equipment to manufacturers' standards
  • Managing pitch-related logistics
  • Working with Pitch Contractors to reinstate the pitch
  • Deploying lighting rigs and operating grounds machinery
  • Operating data collection programmes
  • Assisting with matchday staff management
  • Executing additional tasks as required
Requirements
  • Qualification in Grounds Management or equivalent
  • Experience working on sports pitches
  • Understanding of the events industry and unsocial hours
  • Knowledge of pitch maintenance equipment
  • Understanding of different turf and synthetic surfaces
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Team player with a desire to develop

Estimated salary: £38,000 - £48,000 per annum.
