About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced tutor to join our team of adult education professionals in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to adult learners in a variety of subjects, including digital skills, essential skills, and Welsh for adults.
  • Design and deliver engaging and interactive learning sessions that cater to the needs of adult learners.
  • Assess and evaluate learner progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective learning strategies and materials.
  • Contribute to the development of adult education programmes and services in the Vale of Glamorgan.
Requirements
  • A good level of education and excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
  • A high level of knowledge and experience in your subject area.
  • A relevant teaching qualification or currently completing a teaching qualification.
  • Experience of teaching or training adults is desirable.
  • A relevant Practitioners Qualification is desirable for applicants who wish to teach ESOL or Essential Skills.
  • Understanding of assessment or experience of delivering accredited programmes.
  • Confidence in delivering learning using digital technology.
  • Ability to deliver hybrid learning (face-to-face and online) where relevant, or be willing to undertake further training.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to deliver innovative and creative learning that engages and challenges learners.
  • Understanding of the needs of adult learners and empathy for vulnerable learners.
  • Willingness to undertake further training as required.
