Software Engineer - Dundee & Dunfermline (Hybrid)

Our client, a leading software engineering company, is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join their team in Dundee and Dunfermline. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing software concepts and ideas through to delivery and production across various sectors.

The company designs systems and develops software that enable innovation in environments that demand safety and reliability. They specialize in real-time embedded software and work closely with clients' teams, taking on projects from hardware to application level and beyond.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of commercial experience, although more senior Software Engineers will be considered. You will be working on multiple projects using various languages, including C++, C#, Python, Java, and.Net.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate modular software against requirements specifications, ensuring high standards of quality and reliability.
  • Test and debug software to ensure requirements specifications are satisfied.
  • Produce written documentation of all software, including defects, amendments, and new features.
  • Generate software design specifications at the unit or sub-system level.
  • Liaise with clients and other Software Engineers to resolve customer-reported problems.
  • Assist in project scheduling and ensure project changes are logged correctly.

Working Schedule:

  • Flexible and Hybrid working - core hours between 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm, with flexibility to start and finish as you please.
