Workshop Engineer

Futures is seeking a skilled Workshop Engineer to join their Service team in Leeds. This workshop-based position involves working with a range of components and assemblies, inspecting products returned for repair, completing fault reports, selecting parts for rebuild, and re-assembling and testing products ready for shipment.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and test equipment returned for repair using measuring instruments such as Verniers and Micrometers
- Analyse faults and write detailed reports on root causes of failure
- Rebuild stripped products, conduct post-build testing, and complete associated paperwork
- Prior experience in electrical maintenance or equivalent mechanical engineering apprenticeship
- Able to use Lathe and Miller (training provided if necessary)
- Skilled in carrying out testing and fault finding
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of around £35,000 per annum, plus bonus and benefits package for a standard days-based role (08:00 to 16:30) in a positive atmosphere. Full product training will be given to ensure the candidate can perform the job effectively.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working on complex sub-assemblies and hold a mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent. They should be able to work independently, follow procedures, and maintain a high level of quality in their work.
