Futures is seeking a skilled Workshop Engineer to join their Service team in Leeds. This workshop-based position involves working with a range of components and assemblies, inspecting products returned for repair, completing fault reports, selecting parts for rebuild, and re-assembling and testing products ready for shipment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Inspect and test equipment returned for repair using measuring instruments such as Verniers and Micrometers
  2. Analyse faults and write detailed reports on root causes of failure
  3. Rebuild stripped products, conduct post-build testing, and complete associated paperwork
Skills and Qualifications
  1. Prior experience in electrical maintenance or equivalent mechanical engineering apprenticeship
  2. Able to use Lathe and Miller (training provided if necessary)
  3. Skilled in carrying out testing and fault finding

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of around £35,000 per annum, plus bonus and benefits package for a standard days-based role (08:00 to 16:30) in a positive atmosphere. Full product training will be given to ensure the candidate can perform the job effectively.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working on complex sub-assemblies and hold a mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent. They should be able to work independently, follow procedures, and maintain a high level of quality in their work.
