Job Title: Supporting Education Professional

Rate: £80-100 per day

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Supporting Education Professional to join our team at a good Ofsted special educational needs (SEN) school in North London. As a Supporting Education Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting students with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with and support students with ASD and SEMH, including those who are non-verbal.
  • Provide academic support, either one-on-one or in a small group.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom culture and provide emotional support when needed.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage focus and self-control.
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery.
  • Be aware of safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of students.

Requirements:

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • A clear and up-to-date DBS.
  • Experience working as a teaching assistant.
  • A patient and caring attitude with the ability to remain calm when faced with challenging behaviour.
