About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Investment Risk Manager to join our team at Synchronicity Group. As a key member of our investment function, you will play a critical role in delivering effective risk management support to our clients.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in investment risk management, with experience of working at a multi-asset investment manager or in-house investment function of a large asset owner. You will have a broad understanding of a range of asset classes, including public and private assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain the Investment Risk Framework: Design and oversee the framework, risk modelling and analysis, and reporting across all key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to Strategic Asset Allocation: Analyze and contribute to the development of strategic asset allocation, manager selection, and scheme-level investment decisions.
  • Asset Class Knowledge: Develop and maintain knowledge of all asset classes, with a particular focus on their individual risk characteristics and how these assets are combined into portfolios.
  • Best Practice Techniques: Familiarize yourself with best practice investment risk management techniques and contribute to their development and enhancement.
  • System and Process Development: Contribute to the development and enhancement of systems (internal and external) and processes used by the team.
Requirements
  • Experience of working at a multi-asset investment manager or in-house investment function of a large asset owner.
  • Broad understanding of a range of asset classes, including public and private assets.
  • Knowledge of UK DB pension schemes and their liabilities.
