We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Human Factors Engineer to join our team at Anson McCade. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in advancing human-machine interaction in high-stakes environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Innovative Research and Development: Conduct research into novel technologies, identifying and implementing new tools and techniques such as Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to drive the integration of new technologies and methods.
  • Human-Machine Interface (HMI) Development: Design and develop cutting-edge Human-Machine Interfaces, ensuring they meet the needs of end users including pilots, maintainers, and support specialists.
  • User-Centric Assessments: Carry out high-fidelity assessments, working closely with end users to gather insights and refine system designs.
  • Leadership and Coordination: Organize and manage technical activities, coordinating resources and guiding the team to achieve project goals.
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Coach and mentor less experienced team members, helping to build a stronger, more capable team.
Requirements
  • Educational Background: Degree or equivalent in Human Factors, Psychology, User-Centred Design, or a related field.
  • Communication and Presentation: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence in presenting complex information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Technical Task Management: Proven experience in managing technical tasks, including task breakdown, scheduling, resourcing, and reporting.
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Experience in coaching and developing others, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Desirable Qualities
  • Professional Recognition: Chartership with a Human Factors or related professional body, such as CIEHF.
  • Experimental Expertise: Experience in conducting experiments and user assessments.
  • Military Domain Knowledge: Understanding or experience in the Military Air domain.
  • MBSE Knowledge: Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering.
  • Standards Familiarity: Familiarity with Human Factors defence-related standards.
