Project Overview:
CMA Recruitment Group is partnering with a growing corporation to recruit a Service Charge Specialist who can take ownership of a consolidation project and support system implementation over an 18-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable client and contribute to their growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and administer the accurate calculation, setting, and issue of all service charges.
• Document and review current service charge and rent processes, working closely with the project lead to identify efficiencies.
• Apportion costs correctly to individual customers in accordance with lease and tenancy agreements.
• Review, monitor, and control actual spend against budget.
• Reconcile charges back to property records, ensuring that all data sent externally matches internal records.
• Lead on rent setting, ensuring compliance with legislation, regulation, policy, and best practice.
• Maintain information relating to sinking fund accounts, including posting entries and reconciling bank accounts.
• Monitor utility costs, recording usage, and complete trend analysis to ensure accurate service charging is maintained.
• Review service charges for blocks where an external management company is in place, ensuring relevant charges are passed onto residents.

Requirements:
• Experience working within service charge is essential due to the nature of this role and need for ownership with an upcoming project.
• Strong Excel skills are essential, including pivot tables and advanced formulas.

What We Offer:
• Hybrid working available (2 days working from home, 3 in office).
• 28 days' holiday on top of bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell an additional 5.
• 37-hour working week.
• Competitive pension.
The estimated annual salary for this role is £50,000 - £70,000.
