Job Title: Research Assistant - Child Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Assistant to join our dynamic team at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. As a Research Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team in providing qualitative and quantitative analysis of views, voices, and experiences of children, young people, and their families in relation to child health topics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide qualitative and quantitative analysis of engagement data, including reviewing, coding, and theming using thematic analysis, grounded theory, or other relevant approaches.
  • Ensure all engagement data collection activities are rigorous, ethical, and of value.
  • Perform literature searches and produce reviews of the literature to support the delivery of engagement projects.
  • Critically review reports produced by peers, academics, and other agencies to triangulate children and young people engagement data.
  • Support the wider engagement team in collecting and collating data for review and develop a system for managing out voice data.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified or with relevant equivalent experience in a social or medical science, statistics, or other research discipline.
  • Experience of producing and presenting high-quality written reports, documentation, and promotional information suitable for a range of audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand and discuss complex issues around child health and health-related statistics.
  • Experience of working with Nvivo and Microsoft Excel for cleaning, aggregating, coding, and merging data, as well as producing thematic and trend analysis.
