Domestic Abuse Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Domestic Abuse Specialist to join our team in Stoke on Trent. As a specialist, you will support adults and families within their accommodation services who have been impacted by domestic abuse.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Process customer assessments to establish risk, need, and requirements.
  2. Coordinate access to a wide range of statutory sector, voluntary sector, and other services appropriate to their needs.
  3. Support customers to understand their rights and responsibilities within the accommodation when they move in.
  4. Work with customers to identify their individual support needs and provide a tailored, person-centered support package including housing, health, wellbeing, finances, and safety.
Requirements:
  • A good standard of education, for example GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
  • 2 years experience working with adults with complex needs such as domestic abuse or homelessness.
  • Experience of handling personal data and working in line with GDPR.
  • A genuine understanding of people in abusive relationships.
  • Be up to date with current issues, laws, and best practice in domestic abuse related areas.
Salary:

The salary for this role is £25,564 per annum.
