Job Overview

LRQA is seeking a skilled Food Safety Auditor to join our team in the UK. This role offers an exciting opportunity for professionals with experience in audit and inspection services to contribute to the growth of our company.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering non-accredited food safety audits for our clients in the retail and hospitality sector. As a contractor, you will work on a self-employed basis, covering a wide range of locations throughout the UK.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting high-quality audits and inspections that meet customer requirements
  • Providing monthly availability for proposed work and managing work within agreed timescales
  • Completing environmental audits, including food safety, health & safety, and fire safety, in accordance with legal and client-driven requirements
  • Submitting audit reports promptly and ensuring errors are corrected within hours of request
  • Maintaining effective communication with line managers and clients during audits

In addition, the ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum qualification of Level 3 in Food Safety and Level 3 in Health & Safety
  • Experience in audit and inspection services, particularly in the retail and hospitality sectors
  • An understanding of FHRS Brand standards
Benefits and Requirements

We offer a competitive estimated salary range of £30-£40 per hour, depending on experience. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge through Continuous Personal Development (CPD) and training programs.
