Job Title: Technical Manager – Textiles Manufacturing
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager to lead our textiles manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the production of high-quality performance textiles, coordinating laboratory testing resources, and resolving quality issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing Management: Oversee the manufacture of high-quality performance textiles, ensuring timely delivery and meeting customer requirements.
- Product Development: Manage product development to achieve R&D and marketing objectives, working closely with the development team.
- Quality Assurance: Coordinate laboratory testing resources to meet customer requirements, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2000.
- Quality Resolution: Resolve internal or external quality issues, conducting root cause analysis, corrective action, and continuous improvement of manufacturing operations.
- Technical Documentation: Produce data sheets, specifications, health & safety documentation, and other technical literature.
- Customer Support: Advise customers on choice of fabrics, specification enquiries, and textile properties.
- Technical Audits: Conduct technical audits and reports, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Requirements:
- Technical Experience: Proven experience as a Technical Manager or Quality Manager in the textiles manufacturing market sector.
- Technical Auditing: Ideally, experience in technical auditing.
- Engineering Qualification: Ideally, an Engineering qualification in Textiles or Chemicals.
- IT Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Presentation Skills: Confidence in presenting to groups.
- Organisation and Attention to Detail: High levels of organisation and attention to detail.
