Job Title:

Chief Safeguarding and Pastoral Officer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our safeguarding and pastoral efforts, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for students. This role involves managing statutory safeguarding procedures, developing student support initiatives, and providing leadership to a team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective safeguarding strategies in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (2024)
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff on safeguarding best practices
  • Maintain accurate records of safeguarding incidents and interventions
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a comprehensive approach to student support
Requirements:
  • Degree-level qualification or relevant industrial experience
  • Recognised teaching qualification
  • Numeracy and literacy skills to level 2 or equivalent
  • Experience leading safeguarding arrangements in an education setting
  • Exceptional knowledge of working with vulnerable students
Working Arrangements:

This is a full-time position based at our Wythenshawe Campus, with a salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including 35 days annual leave, free breakfast, and an in-house training programme.
