We are seeking a highly experienced corporate buying specialist to join our busy buying team at SL Resources. As Assistant Buyer - Watches/Jewellery, you will play a key role in maintaining and developing a mixed range of products that resonate with our target audience, driving customer interest and sales.
Your responsibilities will include selecting and approving products for our monthly catalogue, working closely with our in-house photographers to approve images for catalogue/press, and helping to create copy alongside products. You will also maintain and develop close relationships with key suppliers to expand offerings and improve margins, while developing exclusive and proprietary pieces that differentiate and enhance our brand.
To succeed in this role, you will need to stay informed on industry developments, market trends, and competitor activities relating to our business area, allowing you to make informed buying decisions. Some international buying trips may be involved to various and relevant trade shows/exhibitions.
We are looking for someone with strong experience in a buying department, preferably within Watches/Jewellery or a similar market, who has a keen eye for trends and excellent communication skills dealing with a range of internal/external stakeholders.
