This role involves providing advanced social work-level services to children, families, and courts by assessing and analyzing court applications for child protection and serious welfare issues. The successful candidate will influence those with parental responsibility to prioritize the child's needs, advise courts and local authorities on safeguarding concerns, and support judicial case management.

This is a full-time position with pay determined by experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality early safeguarding and child protection advice to the Court on the needs and best interests of children involved in Family Proceedings.
  • Ensure the well-being and safety of the child are paramount throughout Cafcass' involvement in the case.
  • Address incidents or risks of significant harm to the child in accordance with relevant local safeguarding policies.
  • Collaborate with Cafcass teams to ensure effective case management and support.

Requirements:

  • Advanced social work qualifications and experience in child protection and family law.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
