We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Sonographer to join our team at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and reporting ultrasound examinations across both obstetric and general medical disciplines.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic sonographer to work as part of our multi-disciplinary team, providing exceptional care to patients and contributing to the delivery of high-quality imaging services.

The ideal candidate will have recent proven experience of working within the NHS, with expertise in performing and reporting ultrasound examinations. You will also possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and report ultrasound examinations across both obstetric and general medical disciplines
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new imaging protocols and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless patient care

Person Specification

">
  • Pg Certificate/Diploma in Medical Ultrasound (CASE accredited)
  • Professional registration with HCPC or equivalent
  • Recent proven experience of working within the NHS
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £40,506 - £56,958 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you will also receive a range of benefits, including flexible working arrangements, annual leave entitlement, and access to training and development opportunities.

Location

This role is based at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, with regular travel to outlying sites required. We offer a range of transportation options to support your commute.
